    SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Danica McKellar, well known as Winnie Cooper on “The Wonder Years” and Elsie Snuffin on “The West Wing,” headlined the NACDS Annual Hallmark Luncheon here on Tuesday. In addition to photo opportunities with McKellar, Hallmark's lunch guests met the company's master artists.

  • Hallmark readies for Mother’s Day with new offerings, marketing campaign

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As Mother’s Day approaches, Hallmark is rolling out its latest greeting card innovation, as well as new designs for its Signature line of cards. The company notes that in the U.S., 113 million cards are exchanged for Mother’s Day, with data from the National Retail Federation showing that the day is second only to Christmas in participation.

  • RB adds Lysol Laundry Sanitizer to the routine

    PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Reckitt Benckiser’s Lysol brand is bringing a new element to the laundry process. The company is introducing  Lysol Laundry Sanitizer. Noting that laundry detergent doesn’t necessarily kill bacteria, the brand said the new liquid additive could remove 99.9% of bacteria when added to the laundry routine.

  • Steripod launches travel-size single pack for its toothbrush protector

    LOS ANGELES — Bonfit America on Thursday announced the introduction of a single pack offering for its Steripod clip-on toothbrush protector. Steripod uses thymol to release active vapors, which can keep a toothbrush fresh for up to three months, the company said.

  • IRI's 2016 Pacesetters report ranks top innovation by sales

    CHICAGO — GSK Consumer Healthcare's Flonase allergy remedy dominated IRI's 2016 New Product Pacesetters report, which represents a benchmark analysis of exceptional first-year CPG sales success for newly launched products, across the non-foods category with $316.5 million in sales. Meanwhile, Dean Foods' DairyPure, an antibiotic-free food, soared to the top of the food and beverages list with $1.2 billion in sales, according to the report released last week.

  • Gerber debuts Smart Flow Spout for its organic, Grabbers pouches

    FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Gerber Products has introduced a new delivery method for its organic and Grabbers pouches. The products in both lines will now feature the company’s Smart Flow Spout, which it says was developed through consumer research that showed parents wanted a pouch that could help reduce mess.

  • Amazon pulls plug on parent company of diapers.com, soap.com

    SEATTLE — Amazon is getting is shutting down one of its units after it failed to turn a profit.

    The company is pulling the plug on Quidsi, parent company of diapers.com, soap.com and several other shopping sites, which it purchased in 2010. The news was first reported by Bloomberg.

  • Nice-Pak named Walmart Private Brand Supplier of the Year

    ORANGEBURG, N.Y. — Nice-Pak on Tuesday announced its recognition as the Private Brand Supplier of the Year by Walmart, one of the company's largest customers. Walmart's Private Brand Supplier of the Year Award is new for Walmart in FYE 2017 and was awarded to Nice-Pak as a result of their overall collaboration with product innovation, thought leadership and category insights.
