  • Nordic Naturals debuts salmon oil supplement

    WATSONVILLE, Calif. — Nordic Naturals is boosting its offerings with the introduction of a new salmon oil supplement.

    New Kenai Wild Alaskan salmon oil is available in 90-count, citrus-flavored soft gels and in an 8-oz liquid. The product contains up to 23 different omega fatty acids, including omegas 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 11, the company said.

  • American Greetings celebrates Taylor Swift partnership

    CLEVELAND — A greeting card company and a singer-songwriter are celebrating the first anniversary of their partnership with a new line that commemorates spring birthdays, friendship and love.

    American Greetings said it is extending its partnership with Taylor Swift with the new Taylor Swift spring collection, which includes 28 designs and features a "handmade" format. In addition to these personal touches, there also are six new music cards featuring several of Taylor's hit songs, including "Love Story," and "You Belong With Me."

  • Maxwell House Haggadah gets makeover in time for Passover

    TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — The Maxwell House Haggadah is sprucing up its appearance.

    The Haggadah is a sacred text used during the Seder, a sacred holiday meal celebrated by Jewish families during the Passover holiday. The coffee brand noted that the English and Hebrew texts no longer are on opposing columns of the same page, but now are on opposite pages, allowing for easier and clearer reading in both languages.

    Passover is celebrating during the month of April.

  • Hi-Tech Pharmacal granted final approval for generic Zantac syrup

    AMITYVILLE, N.Y. — Hi-Tech Pharmacal was granted final approval from the Food and Drug Administration for its treatment of duodenal ulcers.

    The drug maker said its abbreviated new drug application for ranitidine syrup in the 15-mg/mL strength was approved. Ranitidine syrup is a generic version of GlaxoSmithKline’s Zantac syrup, which garnered sales of $21 million for 12 months ended in December 2010, according to IMS sales data.

    Hi-Tech currently has 13 products awaiting approval at the FDA, the company said.

  • Hain Celestial highlights new, improved product offerings

    MELVILLE, N.Y. — Hain Celestial is boosting its market presence with the introduction of more than 50 new and improved products.

    The company has expanded its baking brand, Arrowhead Mills, to include an organic sprouted wheat flour and gluten-free baking mixes to address those who suffer from celiac disease. The products also feature update packaging.

  • Millennium Pharmacy Systems appoints CIO

    CHICAGO — Millennium Pharmacy Systems named John Tauber as its chief information officer.

    Tauber served as interim CIO since fall 2010, the company said. Prior to joining Millennium, he most recently served as CIO for MedImpact Healthcare Systems with responsibility for delivering IT services for the prescription benefits management company.
