  • Johnson Products Co. launches Ultra Care

    NEW YORK Ethnic hair care manufacturer Johnson Products Co. has announced the launch of its new touch-up relaxer system and maintenance line called Ultra Care.

    The company also is using the launch of Ultra Care to lead the ethnic hair care market in producing an environmentally responsible product that uses eco-friendly resins and recyclable packaging.

    Ultra Care is made with a moisture blend complex, which features a blend of castor, coconut and avocado oils to battle dryness and hair breakage.

  • Jordin Sparks to launch fragrance

    GLENWILLOW, Ohio Recording artist and Broadway star Jordin Sparks is launching in October her first fragrance line, which exclusively will be available at apparel retailer Dots through Nov. 5.

    Apra International, which introduces up-and-coming celebrity fragrances, manufactured the fragrance called "Because of You." The fragrance is priced at $14.95 for 2.5 oz. of eau de parfum. Dots, which has more than 400 stores, will offer the fragrance at an introductory price of $9.50 through the month of October.

    FOSTER CITY, Calif. The FRS Co. has enhanced its ready-to-drink beverage line, Healthy Energy.

    The single-serve drinks, available in 11.5-oz. cans, now feature a fresh new look and taste, containing the FRS-patented blend of the powerful all-natural antioxidant quercetin, seven essential vitamins and green tea extract.     FLORHAM PARK, N.J. Nestle Performance Nutrition on Tuesday announced its entry into the sport dietary supplement category with the launch of a line of dietary supplements under the brand PowerBar Elite Series High Intensity. Formulated with sustained-release beta alanine for endurance, the line will carry the NSF Certified for Sport certification for sports nutrition products.

     

  • Sagent's injectable antibiotics enter market

    SCHAUMBURG, Ill. Generic drug maker Sagent Pharmaceuticals has launched two injectable antibiotics, the company said Tuesday.

     

    Sagent announced the launch of ampicillin and ampicillin with sulbactam. Ampicillin had sales of around $42 million during the 12-month period ended in June, while ampicillin with sulbactam had sales of around $40 million during the same period, according to IMS Health.
