    COLUMBUS, Ohio Marzetti has introduced a veggie dip line that is friendly to taste buds and waistlines.

    Otria Greek yogurt veggie dip, available for a suggested retail price of $3.49, comes in five flavors: garden herb ranch, salsa cilantro, chipotle cheese, cucumber dill feta and spinach artichoke.

     

  • Weight-loss aid Lichi hits Rite Aid, GNC shelves

    NEW YORK Bainbridge & Knight recently announced the launch of its weight-loss diet aid Lichi, an herbal dietary supplement containing the “superfruit” lychee.

     

    Lichi is a complete fat-fighting formula of 17 active ingredients, the company stated, including resveratrol, a plant-based substance that combines antioxidant attributes with anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and weight-loss properties, using cinnamon bark extract, cayenne pepper, niacin, L-carnitine and conjugated linoleic acid.

     

     

  • Revolymer revs up the flavor in gum

    ATLANTA Revolymer is launching a new brand of gum that is eco-friendly and has long-lasting flavor.

    New Rev7 gum will be available in both peppermint and spearmint flavors, with additional flavors slated to launch next year. The gum, the company said, also can be readily removed from clothes using soap and water; and environment tests have shown that more than 50% of its chewing gum is removed by conventional street cleaning, and any gum washed into the drains will degrade into minerals, biodegradable products and inert materials.

  • Curtis gets 'Tangled'

    NEW MILFORD, N.J. Curtis, a worldwide periodicals distributor, announced a deal to launch a bimonthly publication for the new Disney film "Tangled."

    Disney Presents: Tangled is a "comics and activities" magazine aimed at 6- to 8-year-old girls, featuring characters from the movie. The magazine will be published by Titan Publishing, Curtis said.

    The bimonthly publication will retail for $4.99 and will go on sale Nov. 16. It will be the first Curtis-distributed issue.

    HALF MOON BAY, Calif. Odwalla is expanding its bars line with two new flavors.

    Odwalla's new chocolate peanut butter protein bar features 12 g of protein and contains calcium and vitamins E, B6 and B12, all delivered in a chocolate peanut butter decadence. The blueberry swirl superfood bar from Odwalla contains calcium, folate and vitamins A, C and E, and features the swirling flavor of blueberries with a bonanza of nutritious organic oats, dates and crisp rice, the company said.
