  • New Tamagotchi spawns new generation of virtual pet owners

    CYPRESS, Calif. Bandai America has revitalized its Tamagotchi brand.

    New TamaTown Tama-Go virtual pets now are available at retailers nationwide, Bandai America said. The redesigned TamaTown Tama-Go features a new high-contrast, four gray-scale display screen, a changeable design face plate and the choice of Gotchi figure.

     

  • Franklin debuts new portable speaker systems line

    BURLINGTON, N.J. Franklin Electronic Publishers will launch this week its Roadie portable speaker systems, designed for customers on the go.

     

    The three-piece modular design allows the user to stack and tailor the device to his or her specific needs regardless of location, Franklin said of its three-module speaker system and two-way communicator for mobile professionals. The three-piece modular products include:

  • Radius develops biodegradable floss

    KUTZTOWN, Pa. Radius, a manufacturer of specialty, natural oral care products, has announced the launch of its new organic biodegradable silk floss, the first 100% biodegradable floss to hit the market.

    The floss is spun by hand and is grown sustainably in the groves of mulberry trees in the mountains of Colombia. After spinning, the floss is coated with natural, vegan candelilla wax, which is derived from the leaves of the Candelilla shrub.

  • HerbaSway introduces Last Round to cap off night

    WALLINGFORD, Conn. HerbaSway has introduced a hangover support in a ready-to-drink single “shot.”

    Last Round is a 2.5-oz. bottle that contains such ingredients as kudzu root, stevia and green tea extracts. Last Round works by removing the effects of alcohol, “relaxing” the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain, and detoxifying the body so users avoid headaches, dry mouth and other ailments associated with hangovers, the company said. HerbaSway also recommended drinking one 2.5-oz. bottle of Last Round just before bedtime.

  • KeyVive seeks to improve medication adherence with SMS system

    PARK CITY, Utah A healthcare technology company that uses social media and self-management tools to help people with chronic illnesses is launching a mobile health technology designed to improve adherence.

    KeyVive said that its Simplatype mHealth technology, a new SMS system, utilizes proprietary technology with existing cell phone carriers to provide an effective way for practitioners and patients to communicate, store conversations and integrate with electronic records, the company said.
