    WILTON, Conn. — Beiersdorf’s Aquaphor brand is currently in the middle of its biggest launch ever to bring the first ointment body spray to the category. Aquaphor Ointment Body Spray contains the same ingredients as Aquaphor Healing Ointment, and is designed to immediately soothe and relive dry skin, the company said.

  • PDX integrates YouScript’s risk analysis dashboard into Care Rx

    SEATTLE — Pharmacists using PDX’s pharmacy software can now choose to provide patients with advice on the potential for adverse drug events based on their genetic risk with YouScript’s precision prescribing clinical decision support offering. The companies announced that partnership Tuesday, bringing pharmacists the ability to work with providers to order testing and optimize a patient’s drug and dose selection based on their DNA and other medications. 
     
  • Rx30, Computer-Rx choose Updox to coordinate patient care

    DUBLIN, Ohio — Pharmacy management system provider Rx30 and Computer-Rx announced that it had selected Updox Pharmacy Connect as a way for its customers to help coordinate their patients’ care. The platform allows pharmacist to connect securely with patients to boost their engagement, as well as reach out to other members of the healthcare team, Updox said.

  • Shaving products take DSN/ECRM Buyers’ Choice Awards at Personal Care EPPS

    ORLANDO — Speed Razor won the Drug Store News/ECRM Buyers’ Choice Award for its eponymous patented razor during ECRM’s Personal Care, Grooming, Oral and Travel/Trial EPPS, held recently here. Legacy Shave was a finalist with its Evolution Brush.

    The two companies were selected from dozens of entries in the award program, samples of which were displayed in the ECRM hospitality area during the EPPS meetings. Buyers cast their votes based on product innovation and packaging.

    NEW YORK — Estée Lauder has unveiled its campaign for a second limited-edition makeup collection with fashion designer Victoria Beckham.

    The new Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder makeup collection will be available beginning September 2017 at select retailers globally, as well as victoriabeckham.com, esteelauder.com and Victoria Beckham's flagship 36 Dover Street London store. Beckham will front the digital and print campaign, with imagery shot by photographer Lachlan Bailey in New York.

    ATLANTA — Acella Pharmaceuticals has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its generic hydrocodone bitartrate and chlorpheniramine maleate oral solution, 5 mg/4 mg per 5 mL, as a bioequivalent of Vituz Oral Solution. The combination medicine is indicated for the relief of cough and symptoms associated with upper respiratory allergies or a common cold in adults 18 years and older.

    SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The board of directors of J M Smith Corp. has confirmed Philip Ryan III as CFO and named Kevin Welch to the role of chief technology officer. Ryan will also assume the role of treasurer following the retirement of James Wilson Jr. on Oct. 1. Wilson has been employed with the company since 1987, serving first as controller before being elected treasurer and then being named CFO.
