    MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — Pharmacy technology company PerceptiMed on Monday announced the appointment of Terry Cater to the position of VP sales and marketing. 
     
  • SheaMoisture introduces skin and hair care line

    NEW YORK — SheaMoisture’s new Dragon’s Blood & Coffee Cherry skin and hair care collection features Dragon’s Blood, aka Sangre de Drago, a resinous sap sourced from the Peruvian Amazon.

    According to the manufacturer, when applied topically, the sap dries quickly to form a protective barrier, much like a second skin, to shield skin from daily stressors, as well as revive it. Applied to hair, it coats the strands, adding density and volume, making it look fuller and thicker without the inclusion of synthetic ingredients, SheaMoisture added.

  • Parata plans new Durham HQ

    DURHAM, N.C. — Pharmacy technology company Parata Systems on Thursday announced the beginning construction of its new Durham headquarters that the company’s manufacturing, distribution and corporate office to a single location.
     
    The 100,000-sq.ft., two-story space is designed to promote collaboration among Parata employees across departments. It features a greater number of conference rooms than its current headquarters, larger collaboration areas and a central breakroom aimed at enabling company-wide events, Parata said.

  • Chips Ahoy! adds two flavors to THINS product line

    NEW YORK — Chips Ahoy! will add two new flavors to its THINS product line: Oatmeal and Double Chocolate. The product line first launched in the summer of 2016.

    To celebrate the product launch, Chips Ahoy! THINS has created an oversized cookie jar at the Time Warner Center in New York City. Measuring 10-feet tall, and one-foot thick, the custom cookie jar will be filled with new Chips Ahoy! THINS in Oatmeal and Double Chocolate flavor varieties.

  • iMedicare reports saving patients $363 million in 2016

    NEW YORK — Medicare plan comparison platform iMedicare on Wednesday announced that it had saved Medicare beneficiaries $363 million. The number comes from 315,398 patients at more than 5,000 pharmacies, saving an average of $1,150 in prescription costs. This surpasses the 250,000 patients who saved a total  od $287.5 million in 2015 from using iMedicare.
