    Larabar, a business unit of General Mills, Inc., is venturing into the confectionery category with the launch of Larabar Bites, according to a report from bakingbusiness.com. Hitting shelves in June, the truffle-like bites are made with six or fewer simple ingredients, including dates, fair trade chocolate chips, almonds and coconut flour, and are packaged in a resealable pouch.   • IM Healthscience’s FDgard hits stores nationwide

     
    SAN DIEGO — IM HealthScience announced Monday that its treatment for functional dyspepsia (FD, characterized by persistent or recurring indigestion), FDGard is now nationally available in the digestive aisle at most Walgreens and CVS Pharmacy stores. 
     
    FDGard uses caraway and peppermint oils to manage FD among the one-in-six adults estimated to suffer from the condition. 
     
  • Study highlights Remind-a-Cap's adherence impact

    NEW YORK — A new report from Remind-a-Cap is highlighting the device’s impact on patient adherence. The cap, which shows patients when to take their next dose, had its efficacy examined among 263 records at two Benzer Pharmacy locations in Florida and one in North Carolina.
