  • Orville Redenbacher expands popcorn lineup

    MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Orville Redenbacher has introduced four new gourmet popcorn varieties.

    Orville's ready to eat popcorn adds the tangy taste of dill, the zesty spice of chipotle, the sweet and savoury decadence of kettle corn and the sharp bite of white cheddar to the iconic popcorn brand's list of innovative products. The new products include Orville Redenbacher's sweet and salty kettlecorn; white cheddar gourmet popcorn; white cheddar chipotle gourmet popcorn and dill pickle gourmet popcorn.

  • Jolly Group introduces sports-themed bandages

    ELLENVILLE, N.Y. — The Jolly Group on Monday launched its Sports Shield brand of bandages featuring sports images.

    Sports Shield bandages are available in two different sizes — adults and children — and come in eight designs: baseball, basketball, football, soccer, hockey, cheerleading, girls' soccer and fun fashion.

    The company will be rolling out two additional designs July 24: a rescue-themed bandage that features fire trucks and ambulances and a ladybug bandage adorned with butterflies and ladybugs.

  • FDA approves new obesity drug

    SILVER SPRING, Md. — The Food and Drug Administration has approved a new treatment for obesity in adults, the agency said Wednesday.

    The FDA announced the approval of Arena Pharmaceuticals' Belviq (lorcaserin hydrochloride), designed for use alongside reduced-calorie diets and exercise, for chronic weight management. Eisai will distribute the drug.

  • General Mills expands its Fiber One 90-calorie brownies line

    MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills on Wednesday announced the launch of its Fiber One 90-calorie brownies in a chocolate chip cookie flavor formulated with 5 g of fiber.

    Each chocolate chip cookie brownie is made with semisweet chocolate chips in a cookie-batter brownie, topped with a chocolatey drizzle and contains 20% of the daily value of fiber.

  • Reed's launches Culture Club Kombucha

    LOS ANGELES — Reed's has expanded its portfolio to include an organic kombucha beverage.

    Reed's Culture Club Kombucha will be introduced in four, ginger-based formulas: Goji ginger, cranberry ginger, lemon raspberry ginger and hibiscus grapefruit ginger.

    NEW YORK — Skin care brand Neutrogena in July will begin offering at retail its new ultra gentle daily cleanser.

    After years of perfecting the hydrophobically modified polymer technology launched in this cleanser, Johnson & Johnson scientists are now re-shifting the everyday cleansing approach with the launch, the company stated.
