Angele Gaylord-Robinson is Rite Aid's new senior vice president of store development, tasked with spearheading its store renovations as part of the company's RxEvolution among other duties.

Rite Aid is acquiring Bartell Drugs' 67 Seattle-area stores for $95 million, with plans for them to keep operating under the Bartell Drugs banner.

The Rite Aid Foundation has donated $250,000 to the American Red Cross to support the organization’s efforts to provide food, water and shelter to evacuees. 

With revenue of $5.98 billion and a significantly narrowed net loss compared with the prior year's second quarter, Rite Aid posted solid fiscal Q2 results driven by strong growth in retail pharmacy and pharmacy services.

The new sites in eight states bring the retailer’s total sites — which offer free testing in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services — to 303.

The chain is encouraging all age groups to get flu shots as soon as possible to bolster their immune systems and minimize the number of flu hospitalizations this year as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. 

Rite Aid has appointed Roxanne Schwans senior vice president of market access and pharmacy purchasing, and named Chris Bohrer senior vice president of payer and strategic initiatives.
