  • Keurig, Krispy Kreme team up for new K-Cups

    WATERBURY, Vt. and WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, the company behind Keurig brewing technology, and retailer Krispy Kreme announced that the companies have reached an agreement to bring Krispy Kreme signature coffee to K-Cup packs for the Keurig brewing system.

    The companies are set to launch Krispy Kreme coffee K-Cups in both Smooth and Decaf by the end of 2014. The packs will be available at Keurig.com and KrispyKreme.com, as well as select Krispy Kreme shops, grocery, retail and away-from-home channels across the United States. 

  • SodaStream, Skinnygirl partner to create new flavors

    NEW YORK and AIRPORT CITY, Israel — SodaStream International announced an agreement with lifestyle brand Skinnygirl to co-develop flavors exclusively for SodaStream's home beverage carbonation systems.

    "I am so excited to join the SodaStream family, a perfect home for my unique Skinnygirl brand," Bethenny Frankel, founder of Skinnygirl, said. "Both companies share a passion for creating delicious, low calorie beverages that are fun, convenient and easy to enjoy in the comfort of your own home."

  • Squeez'Ems pops out new designs

    ISSAQUAH, Wash. — BooginHead, a supplier of parent-invented products, has announced the release of Squeez'Ems reusable pouches in two new designs. The new Orange Flower and Chevron designs provide an easy way for on-the-go families to enjoy healthy foods, the company said. And since the products are reusable, they reduce waste and give parents the option to purchase foods in bulk.

    The company says the pouches are ideal for home-made baby foods as well as smoothies and pureed fruits for toddlers and school-aged kids.

  • Stacy's debuts new pretzel snack

    PLANO, TX — Stacy's Snacks, a Frito-Lay North America brand, introduced Stacy's Pretzel Thins, a new line of baked snacks that combines a pretzel flavor with a thin, crispy texture.  

    Consumers can choose from two flavors: Simply Naked and Honey Dijon, both of which are now available in the deli sections of grocers nationwide.

  • Progresso Heart Healthy Soup, Mayo Clinic team up for the Heart Project

    MINNEAPOLIS — Progresso Heart Healthy Soup, in support of Mayo Clinic, is launching "The Heart Project" to educate people about heart disease, the leading cause of death in the United States.

    The Heart Project website, TheHeartProject.com, will encourage visitors to take a Heart Health Quiz, which offers tools and information on heart disease, as well as tips to lower one's risk of heart disease. Those who take the quiz are encouraged to share the information with others to start a conversation about heart health.

  • Anheuser-Busch to purchase Blue Point

    ST. LOUIS and LONG ISLAND, N.Y. — Anheuser-Busch announced that it agreed to purchase Blue Point Brewing Co., a craft brewery. The purchase will bring additional resources to Blue Point's operations, allowing it to better meet consumer demand for its brands. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

    YUBA CITY, Calif. — Sunsweet, a marketer of dried fruits and fruit juices, is introducing new Greek Style PlumSweets, which combines the chewy center of the company's line of diced dried plums with a creamy Greek yogurt coating.
