    RALEIGH, N.C. — A joint venture between Suntory International and PepsiCo has appointed a new leader.

    Paul Finney has been appointed president and CEO of Pepsi Bottling Ventures, who has served as SVP sales and marketing at the company since 2006. Finney replaces Keith Reimer, who retired on Dec. 31.

    PURCHASE, N.Y. — Pepsi Max is looking to give two of its most passionate fans a lifetime supply of the beverage, the company announced Friday.

    Consumers are invited to visit the brand's Facebook page to submit video — 60 seconds or less — detailing why they deserve a lifetime supply of Pepsi Max. The "Pepsi Max for Life" video contest runs through Feb. 13.

    The company said new GoGo Squeez AppleBerry blends together applesauce and raspberry, blackberry and pomegranate to offer kids a healthy snack option in convenient packaging that allows on-the-go kids to enjoy fruit via a no-spoon, no-mess pouch.

    BRENTWOOD, N.Y. — U.S. Nonwovens is looking to market its Dual Pod technology for consumer packaged goods companies that operate or are looking to operate in the cleaning/laundry category.

    The company said it is in "high-level discussions" with global CPG companies in efforts to license and/or sell USN's newly granted patents. Procter & Gamble is the is the only other company aside from USN to market such technology, particularly in its Tide and Cascade brands, the company noted.

  • Walt Freese named Stonyfield CEO

    LONDONDERRY, N.H. — Stonyfield has appointed a new chief executive.

    The company announced that Walt Freese, CEO at Ben & Jerry's, will join Stonyfield later this month and will be overseeing the organic yogurt company, including such brands and product lines as Stonyfield's core organic yogurts, rapidly growing Organic Oikos Greek Yogurt, and popular product lines including YoBaby, YoToddler and YoKids.
