  • Nipro showcases diabetes-friendly energy shot

    BOSTON — Nipro Diagnostics is building around its co-branded blood-glucose meter with a line of glucose-control products, including its TruePlus glucose shot.

    The entire line also includes a glucose tablet product, a glucose gel and a diabetes-friendly multivitamin. But it's the diabetes-friendly energy shot that should garner the most interest, because that will be the acceptable delivery format for the next generation of diabetics.

  • Kozy Shack makes its way to retail with Coffeehouse Blends, SmartGels

The gluten-free treat comes in three flavors: caffe latte, cappuccino and caramel macchiato.

    BOSTON — Splash Guard, which is based in Northport, N.Y., is showing retailers here at NACDS Marketplace the Lil Rinser, a soft, form-fitting device designed to fit over a child’s ears and forehead and keep shampoo, suds and soapy water from getting to the eyes, ears, nose or mouth.

  • Nelson brings lower-dose, higher-absorption iron solution to market

    BOSTON — Nelson marks the second branded player that should be making a significant commitment against iron supplementation in the coming year — the other being Meda Pharmaceuticals.

    Nelson, however, is approaching the market with a "less is more" mantra. In other words, it's a lower dose iron solution with a higher aborption rate.

    And because of the lower iron dose, it'll be a lot less likely to cause constipation and will be gentler on the stomach too.

  • Xlear unveils nasal spray products for adults, kids

    OREM, Utah — Xlear recently announced the release of two new products: Xlear nasal spray and Kids Xlear nasal spray.

    The new Xlear nasal sprays are formulated with xylitol, a 5-carbon sugar alcohol found in many fruits and vegetables. The Kids Xlear nasal spray retails for approximately $6.99. The adult version of Xlear nasal spray retails for $6.99 and also is available in an easy-to-inhale “Pump-Mist” dispenser, retailing for $13.49.

    SAN JOSE, Calif. — Lelo on Thursday launched Intimina by Lelo, a new brand of intimate wellness products positioned as a premium to what’s on the shelf today.

    The new line of products — a line of personal massagers, pelvic floor exercisers, hygienic cleansers and feminine moisturizers — will be available to ship this summer.

  • Senokot products tout new packaging

    NEW YORK — Purdue Products on Thursday announced new packaging and product design across its Senokot Laxatives Comfort Promise line.

    The packaging makeover includes Senokot-S Tablets, a laxative plus stool softener for those who experience occasional constipation which may be caused by certain medications, and Senokot To Go, a convenient, easy-to-carry four-pack choice for busy consumers with on-the-go schedules.
