OPI, Xbox partner on gaming-inspired nail collection

The OPI x Xbox collection consists of 12 shades available in GelColor, Infinite Shine and Nail Lacquer formulas, and select shades in Powder Perfection.

This spring, manicures are about to be inspired by the gaming world.

Popular nail lacquer brand OPI announced that for its spring 2022 collection, it would be partnering with Xbox on a collection of nail polishes.

Available in four different formulas with shades that range from fresh blues to greens and shimmers, the beauty and gaming worlds will continue to collide by allowing consumers to unlock shade-matched Xbox in-game content for Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 beginning Feb. 1.

From new shade technology to nail art and more, consumers can expect lots of exciting surprises to come with this partnership!”

Shades part of the collection include:  

  • Quest for Quartz, a shimmery rose quartz shade;
  • Pixel Dust, a shimmery mauve-pink hue;
  • Racing for Pinks, a crème rose shade;
  • Suzi is My Avatar, a creamy pink-nude hue;
  • Trading Paint, a crème apricot shade;
  • Heart and Con-soul, a shimmery crimson red hue;
  • The Pass is Always Greener, a creamy pastel green shade;
  • Sage Simulation, a shimmery sage green hue;
  • You Had Me at Halo, a shimmery galactic blue shade;
  • Can’t CTRL Me, a shimmery robin’s egg blue;
  • Achievement Unlocked, an optimized lilac shade; and
  • N00berry, a deep crème purple hue.

The 12 OPI x Xbox shades will be available in GelColor, Infinite Shine and Nail Lacquer options, with select shades also available in a Powder Perfection formula.

“This spring, expect to see lots of sparkle, along with colors that are simultaneously bright and calming,” OPI global director of color collections, Jill Bartoshevich said. “Shades like Sage Simulation, a deeply pigmented version of seafoam green, and standout hue Achievement Unlocked, an energizing crème lilac, offer wearers an escape into a world of color. This collection also includes four ultra-shine hues — Quest for Quartz, Pixel Dust, Heart and Con-soul, and You Had Me at Halo — with reflective pixel dust for an effect that's simply mesmerizing.”

Each Nail Lacquer will retail for $10.50 each and Infinite Shine colors for $13 each. The shades are to be available exclusively at Ulta Beauty and Ulta.com beginning in January.

The shades will be available at professional salons, OPI.com, Beautybrands.com, Chatters, Dillard’s Hudson’s Bay, Regis, Sally Beauty, SallyBeauty.com and Amazon.com beginning in February.
