Panasonic launches Multishape integrated grooming system
Panasonic is changing the way consumers who are constantly on the go approach their personal care routines.
The Newark, N.J.-based company is debuting its Multishape tool, which is an integrated grooming system that can be customized to fit the routine of individuals who are frequent travelers.

Featuring one of two rechargeable battery main unit handles and a selection of five attachments to purchase as needed, Multishape allows users to execute a streamlined daily routine with just one device, the company said.
The five attachments and two main units on the tool include:
- Beard/Hair Trimmer Head: featuring an adjustment dial with 39 length settings and two comb attachments to achieve 1-10mm or 11-20mm lengths;
- Beard/Hair/Body Trimmer Head: includes an adjustment dial with 58 length settings, three comb attachments that range from 11 to 30 mm, and one dedicated body attachment for precise and gentle trimming in sensitive areas;
- 3-Blade Shaver Head: made to reduce the number of strokes required for a close shave, it features individual floating blades that move independently in three directions and follow the contours of the face and neck. The blades are positioned at 30 degrees and it also contains round-shaped outer foils that fit uniformly against the skin and under the chin;
- Nose/Ear/Facial Trimmer Head: designed with a double-edged cutting blade, it is able to trim away nose and ear hair from all directions without any pulling. It also has a vacuum function that suctions away all hair so there is no scattering of cut hair in and around the ear and nose areas;
- Electric Toothbrush Head: made with sonic vibration technology to help achieve a deep clean, the brush has a shape of tufts with flat, extra-fine bristles on both edges and in the middle of the brush to help clean the surface of and in between teeth;
- Li-ion Battery Main Unit: it operates up to 90 minutes on a one-hour charge and also has an anti-slip coating for a firm grip; and
- Ni-MH Battery Main Unit: it operates for up to 50 minutes on a one-hour charge and is designed with a matte coating for a firm grip.

In addition, all blades on the trimmer and shaver heads utilize durable Japanese stainless-steel blades that have been designed to provide years of gentle and precise shaves, the company said.
Panasonic’s Multishape will be available for purchase online in August for a suggested retail price that ranges from $120 to $175, depending on components.
