MINONG, Wis. — Beef jerky brand Jack Link's has introduced an online Valentine's Day promotion.

The brand said it is offering fans easy-to-follow instructions to create a Jack Link’s meat bouquet, which gives fans the chance to enter to win a Sasquatch gift pack filled with Jack Link’s products. What's more, the brand also is touting Sasquatch-themed Valentine’s Day cards.

IRVINE, Calif. — Joseph Co. is introducing a new beverage that will be chilled without the use of ice or refrigeration.

The company said its West Coast Chill energy drink features a can that utilizes Microcool technology — which was developed, patented, and licensed by Joseph Co. — and includes an activation button on the can allows the beverage to drop 30 degrees within minutes. The beverage is based on natural ingredients and contains no sugar, no caffeine, and no artificial colors or flavors, Joseph Co. said.

PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway and Kraft Foods on Thursday announced that their Help Us End Hunger (Every Bag Counts) food drive yielded nearly 362,000 bags of groceries for food banks and other hunger-relief centers throughout the United States.

In addition to helping provide products for the food drive, Kraft Foods donated $420,000 to local food banks in Safeway's U.S. operating divisions.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — In an effort to call out its lineup of heart-healthy cereals, Kellogg announced it will add a new front-of-pack label to nine brands.

The company said the "Kellogg's Heart Healthy Selection" logo will appear on such cereal varieties as Raisin Bran, All Bran, Smart Start and Kellogg's FiberPlus, to remind consumers they have a choice when it comes to eating for their heart.

MINNEAPOLIS — A new Nature Valley product has made its way to the granola aisle.

The brand announced that it has launched new protein bars, which tout 10 g of protein and contain such all-natural ingredients as roasted peanuts with almonds or creamy peanut butter ­and dark chocolate flavor in every bite.

Nature Valley protein bars are packaged in five-bar boxes and are available in two flavors —­ peanut butter dark chocolate, and peanut, almond and dark chocolate — at a suggested retail price of $3.89.
