    VIENNA, Va. — Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet lineup now includes a 2-oz., single-serve energy shot.

    The Dr. Siegal's Energy caffeine supplement is intended to provide quick energy for anyone, including those who follow a weight-loss or weight-maintenance diet, the company said.

    Dr. Siegal's Energy caffeine supplement will roll out at select retailers this month and soon will be in stores nationwide.

  • The latest 'Shape' DVD: '400-Calorie Fat Blast'

    NEW YORK — Gaiam on Wednesday said it released the latest fitness DVD developed by Shape magazine, starring Olympic gold medalist Summer Sanders.

    "400-Calorie Fat Blast" includes three 15-minute workouts, which are interval training-based workouts that blend multiple toning techniques with a strong cardio component, Gaiam said.

    NORTHFIELD, Ill. — Kraft is taking a cream cheese brand to new heights with the introduction of a spoonable, easy-to-blend cooking cream.

    Kraft said its new Philadelphia Cooking Creme takes on the challenge of replacing bland ingredients in everyday dishes with the creamy taste of Philadelphia. Available in four varieties — Italian cheese and herb, savory garlic, original and Santa Fe blend — the cream packs a punch that will "wow" the whole family, Kraft said.

  • Yiayia approved: Kraft puts Athenos at center stage

    GLENVIEW, Ill. — Kraft Foods has put the spotlight on Athenos with the brand's first-ever advertising campaign.

    Athenos' portfolio, which includes Greek yogurt, hummus and pita chips, is being brought to life with a campaign highlighting yiayias, or Greek grandmothers, and their no-nonsense, unsolicited opinions of the world. The ads, created by Droga5, show that while yiayias criticize their grandchildren for their attire, lack of job or living with their significant other before marriage, the women do approve of Athenos products.

  • Coca-Cola adds Honest Tea to portfolio

    ATLANTA — Three years after purchasing a minority stake in Honest Tea, an organic bottled tea company, Coca-Cola said it has exercised its option to acquire the remaining portion of the company.

    Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but Coca-Cola did note that Honest Tea would continue its operations outside of Bethesda, Md., and will continue to operate as a stand-alone business. Honest Tea will be led by current CEO Seth Goldman, his management team and current Honest Tea employees.

    NEW YORK — Gaiam on Tuesday said it would release "Trudie Styler's Weight Loss Yoga," the sixth DVD release starring Trudie Styler, an actress and environmental activist, and her personal celebrity trainer James D'Silva.

    "Trudie Styler's Weight Loss Yoga" works to create a strong mind-body connection meant to help viewers become more aware of what they eat and how it feels to be full, Gaiam said. The DVD features the following exercises:

  • StarKist appoints new CEO

    PITTSBURGH — A new leader has been named for a maker of shelf-stable seafood products.

    StarKist named In-Soo Cho as president and CEO of the company. Prior to joining StarKist, Cho was the principal of his own consulting firm, Insight & Strategy, with a focus on consumer goods and the restaurant industry.

    Cho will assume his new office on March 1.
