Dove’s VitaminCare+ enhances skin’s natural odor defenses

Dove has introduced the new VitaminCare+ Deodorant, which features vitamin B3 to help enhance the skin’s natural odor defenses. 

Made with an aluminum-free formula, the product works to aid in rebuilding and repairing the skin’s natural moisture barrier, while also reducing dryness, the brand shared. It delivers 72-hour odor control while helping to nourish the underarm skin at least 10 layers deep, the brand said.

“We know that more and more consumers are seeking aluminum-free deodorant options, but they're often left disappointed with non-effective or even irritating formulas. This is why we're so thrilled to introduce a new product that pushes the science of aluminum-free formulas forward,” said Pranav Chandan, U.S. head of deodorants at Unilever. “Fortified with Vitamin B3, Dove VitaminCare+ is the next generation of aluminum-free deodorants that provides women the superior odor protection they expect, while also providing new levels of care they deserve for their underarm skin.”

The VitaminCare+ Deodorant is available in six fragrances—coconut and shea, raspberry and rose, lavender and chamomile, cucumber and melon, peaches and shea butter, and coconut water and aloe. 

To kick off the launch of the new product, the brand is also teaming up with Giggly Squad podcast hosts Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner on the #DoveB3stieCheck initiative on social media.
