    NEW YORK -- An innovative and organic self-tanner is hitting the personal care aisle, and it requires only 10 minutes to be effective.

    NKD SKN's Pre-Shower Tan product is applied before a shower. The user waits 10 minutes and then showers. The tan develops gradually over the next four to eight hours.

  • Mediware releases CareTrend for specialty pharmacies

    LENEXA, Kan. — Healthcare software company Mediware Information Systems announced Wednesday that its CareTrend platform is now available for specialty pharmacies. The new platform looks to simplify prescription procession, pharmacy workflow, reimbursement and reporting.

    Based on what was learned and discussed during the session, HRG created and provided a roadmap to NovaGenesis to help them navigate the new product introductions of their three skin creams: Radiation Ultimate Soothing Cream, Diabetes Intense Hydrating Cream and Eczema Extreme Moisturizing Cream.

The rebranding is aimed at reflecting the evolution of the platform from an earlier focus on communication to its current state as an analytics and patient intervention application. 
     
  • Quest Products launches copper-infused topical analgesic

    BOSTON - Quest Products announced Monday the launch of CopperFixx, a new pain relief cream and patch that utilizes copper as its primary active ingredient. Unlike copper bracelets or compression sleeves, CopperFixx is applied directly at the site of the pain.

    "Copper has always been known to help relieve the aches and pains of certain afflictions, as well as everyday activities," stated Don Ryan, president and CEO of Quest Products. "Until now, no one had figured out how to produce it in a highly concentrated and consumer-friendly form."

  • Telehealth to save costs, expand into specialties

    Telehealth is expected to grow tenfold, according to Walgreens director of digital health Atul Singh and MDLive VP strategic partnerships Amy Clark who led an Insight Session Monday examining the growth, benefits and future of telehealth and telemedicine. Since 2014, Walgreens and MDLive have collaborated to offer telemedicine visits with MDLive physicians through Walgreens’ mobile app and website.

  • Ateb’s Time My Meds surpasses 1 million patients enrolled, managed

    BOSTON — Patient care solutions company Ateb on Friday announced a major milestone for the company from the National Association of Chain Drug Stores’ Total Store Expo. Currently, more than 1 million patients are enrolled and actively managed by Ateb’s pharmacy partners using its Time My Meds automated medication synchronization solution.
