    LOS ANGELES — The Better Chip, a snack chip company, on Monday announced that it is introducing two new flavors — Beet and Chipotle — both of which are inspired by popular culinary trends, according to the company. The new chip varieties will be available in the deli section of more than 10,000 grocery outlets across the nation.

  • Hyland's launches pair of mucus relief items

    LOS ANGELES — Hyland's recently added three line extensions to its portfolio of cough-cold products — both an adult and pediatric mucus expectorant and a nighttime option for toddlers. Mucus relief accounts for 14% of the cough-cold category, Hyland's reported, citing Nielsen data for the 52 weeks ended Jan. 18 across all channels. 

  • Colgate launches new Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen duo

    NEW YORK — Colgate-Palmolive has introduced its new Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen — the first-ever toothbrush with a built-in whitening pen.  

    The new Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Whitening Pen is aimed to provide a convenient, affordable way to achieve high-impact teeth whitening at home, with whiter teeth in two days, the company stated.

  • Oscar Mayer debuts new protein packs

    MADISON, Wis. — Oscar Mayer, a Kraft Foods Group brand, announced the introduction of the new P3 Portable Protein Pack, which the company designed for active consumers looking for a snack to help get them through the day.

    The company says the new protein packs are positioned to become a major item in the protein-snacking category, which has enjoyed growth thanks to consumer desires for protein-filled snacks like Greek yogurt and protein bars. The on-the-go packs are made of three brands: Oscar Mayer Selects Meats, Kraft Natural Cheeses and Planters Nuts.

  • Omron launches Alvita Ultimate Pedometer

    LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Omron Healthcare on Monday launched the Alvita Ultimate Pedometer, which replaces its HJ-112 model. The new pedometer uses Tri-Axis technology to count steps accurately almost anywhere the device is positioned, including the hip, pocket or a purse. It has four activity modes for both regular and aerobic activities, and stores up to seven days of information on the display.

  • Naterra International expands portfolio with new Aqua Spa

    NEW YORK — Naterra International, the maker of Tree Hut and Baby Magic, has developed a new bath and body care line called Aqua Spa.

    The line includes a trio of spa-inspired bath and body collections infused with deep-sea minerals and a Marine Youth Complex to help battle the signs of aging. Each collection includes a bath soak, bath oil, body cleanser and a crème. The three scents in the collections are:

    CINCINNATI — Following buzz that Procter & Gamble revealed last week during a conference in Barcelona a smartphone-enabled toothbrush, the manufacturer has officially unveiled details of the new interactive electronic toothbrush.
