Unilever previews 2022 frozen sweets

Unilever shared its new launches for 2022, which span across its Breyers, Klondike, Magnum ice cream and Talenti Gelato and Sorbetto lines.

Unilever is looking ahead to the year.

Recently, the Englewood Cliffs, N.J.-based company shared its new innovations for 2022, which span across its Breyers, Klondike, Magnum ice cream and Talenti Gelato and Sorbetto lines.

Featuring reimagined twists on classic American flavors, as well as unexpected pairings for unique flavor combinations, Unilever is also rolling out better-for-you and non-dairy options.

“As the maker of iconic and adored brands, we are constantly looking at trends and innovations to bring frozen treat lovers new experiences that they will enjoy,” Russel Lilly, vice president of Unilever Ice Cream North America said. “This year, we are excited to bring inventive flavors, increased variety, and reimagined takes on classics to your favorite retailers. We have also expanded our popular lines to create products that will bring joy all year long.”

Breyers, which has been in business for more than 150 years, will be debuting a twist on American desserts with its new innovations for the year. Sweet treats consumers can expect from the line include:

M&M’s Minis Caramel Fudge, containing a caramel light ice cream, a fudge swirl, and M&M’s minis, the ice cream is made with milk chocolate and is surrounded by a colorful candy shell;
Very Berry Cobbler, made with strawberry ice cream, also features a black raspberry swirl and cobbler crumble mixed throughout;
Banana Split, containing a fruity banana frozen dairy base with strawberry pieces and a chocolate swirl, updates the classic banana split sundae;
Brownie a la Mode, featuring Breyers vanilla CarbSmart ice cream swirled with brownie dough pieces, also has fudge; and
Mint Fudge Cookie, made with a mint base churned with a fudge swirl, it also has chocolatey crunches throughout.

Each of Breyers’ new launches is made 100% Grade A milk and cream that comes from cows not treats with artificial growth hormones, the company said.

When it comes to its Klondike brand, consumers have not one, but five new varieties to choose from. New additions to the brand’s lineup include:

Klondike Coocoo for Caramel Cones, made with a caramel base, it also has a caramel sauce core, crispy wafer cone, a chocolate coating and crunchy roasted peanuts;
Klondike Vanilla Caramel Classic Cones, containing a creamy vanilla base that is paired with a sweet caramel sauce core, also featured are a crispy wafer cone, chocolate coating and crunchy roasted peanuts;
Klondike Cookies ‘n Cream Cones, featuring a vanilla base swirled with chocolate cookie pieces, also featured are a chocolate sauce core, chocolate wafer and a topping of chocolate coating with chocolate cookie pieces;
Klondike Reese’s Chocolate Cones, made with a chocolate base, has Reese’s signature peanut butter sauce core, crispy wafer cone and a chocolate coating; and
Klondike Reese’s Peanut Butter Cones, featuring Reese’s peanut butter base, crispy wafer cone and a chocolate coating.

Each of these new Klondike launches will debut in three different multi-flavor packs offerings.

Jumping over to Unilever’s Magnum ice cream brand, new launches include an ice cream bar dipped in two types of chocolate. Launches consumers have to look forward to including:

Magnum ice cream Almond Duet Bars, made with almond ice cream that has been swirled with brown sugar almond butter, it has been fully dipped in milk chocolate with almonds and half dipped in dark chocolate. This treat has been designed with 39% cacao and 68% cacao chocolates;
Magnum ice cream Chocolate Duet Bars, featuring vanilla ice cream with a raspberry swirl that has been fully dipped in a white chocolate shell and half dipped in a milk chocolate shell. It is made with 33% cacao and 44% cacao chocolates;
Magnum ice cream Cookie Duet Bars, containing a blend of vanilla ice cream with a chocolate ganache swirl, has been fully dipped in white chocolate with chocolate cookie pieces and half dipped in milk chocolate. It has been made with 33% cacao and 39% cacao chocolates;
Magnum Non-Dairy Hazelnut Crunch Bars, featuring a vegan hazelnut base with a salted caramel swirl throughout, it has been dipped in caramelized hazelnuts and non-dairy chocolate; and
Magnum Non-Dairy Mini Variety Pack, which offers the non-dairy classic and non-dairy almond products as mini bars.

In addition, Magnum ice cream’s non-dairy line will have a new packaging design featuring a new logo and the brand’s signature indulgent crack.

Lastly, Talenti Gelato and Sorbetto is kicking off the year with its new Pairings line. The latest brand additions include:

Talenti Strawberry Margarita Pairings, made with strawberry sorbetto and lime sorbetto, it also contains agave from Mexico;
Talenti Bourbon Fudge Brownie Pairings, containing Belgian chocolate gelato, it also features baked brownie pieces, dark fudge and an oak-aged bourbon gelato;
Talenti Salted Chocolate Churro Pairings, featuring Belgian chocolate gelato and cinnamon gelato, it also contains salted caramel and churro prices; and
Talenti Caramel Pretzel Blondie Pairings, made with sea salt caramel gelato that also contains dulce de leche and salted caramel gelato and blondie brownie pieces.

Unilever’s new launches from its Breyers, Klondike, Magnum ice cream and Talenti Gelato and Sorbetto lines will be launching throughout the year at retailers nationwide.
