  • Kind debuts several offerings at Product Expo West

    ANAHEIM, Calif. — Kind Snacks rolled out several new offerings recently at Product Expo West, including new flavors and formulations for some of its products. 
     
    The company has revamped its Strong and Kind line, Sweet and Spicy, to include10 g of plant protein from almonds, pumpkin seeds and pea protein. The changes include such original flavors as jalapeño and Thai sweet chili, as well as new additions Korean chili BBQ, chipotle honey mustard and sweet cayenne BBQ. Sweet and Spicy will be available later this month. 
  • Oberto rolls out revamped recipes, new packaging

    SEATTLE — Oberto Beef Jerky and James Beard Award-winning chef Mark Miller have come together to revamp the company’s recipes for its best-selling flavors. The new recipes of Oberto’s original, teriyaki, peppered beef and spicy sweet jerky have hit stores this year. 
     
    The new recipes and the collaboration were a result of consumer testing to figure out what made the “perfect jerky,” and rounds of experiments in the kitchen and with consumers, the company said.

    LONGMONT, Colo. — Coffee company Hotbox Roasters is rolling out its new high-octane Nitro Cold Brew, a 12-oz. canned coffee drink with 420 mg of caffeine. 
     
  • Hershey’s Easter products hit shelves

    HERSHEY, Pa. — Hershey on Tuesday announced its lineup of Easter season products that include its Reese’s and Cadbury brands. In addition to sping-inspired packaging, the company is rolling out some innovations in the candy aisle.  
     
  • Walmart reportedly testing ‘endless aisle’ kiosks

    Walmart just made another move in its battle against online rival, Amazon.
     
    The retail giant is testing a touch-screen monitor in its toy aisle at select stores in Texas. The solution connects shoppers to available inventory at store-level, and if it’s not on-hand, the device enables them to order it online, according to The Street
     
  • Tic Tac Mixers debuts piña colada flavor

    PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Tic Tac’s sub-brand Tic Tax Mixers is getting tropical with its new flavor. The piña colada flavor, which combines coconut and pineapple, joins the cherry cola and peach lemonade Tic Tac Mixers flavors. 
     
  • IRI, Experian establish better marketing ROI through partnership

    CHICAGO — IRI on Monday partnered with Experian on a initiative designed to drive a better return on advertising spend for marketers and improve shopping experiences.

    The joint effort enables marketers to leverage IRI ProScores, an audience targeting solution built from household purchase data. As part of the agreement, Experian’s clients will have direct access to IRI ProScores.

  • Bazooka launches Juicy Drop Gum

    NEW YORK — Topps’ Bazooka Candy Brands division is introducing a new way to chew gum with its Juicy Drop Gum. The product lets consumers determine the flavor intensity of their gum and extend its flavor by adding sour gel to each piece.
